# livespotting account

*Found under: **System → Account**.*

![Account](https://2278918606-files.gitbook.io/~/files/v0/b/gitbook-x-prod.appspot.com/o/spaces%2FP8ymyTQn1iAckTEFEpO0%2Fuploads%2Fgit-blob-a32b3fe953f92d781950d5c2a987fd7d4e228bc7%2Fkonto.png?alt=media)

With a free livespotting account, the camera largely sets itself up. **Stream destination, location and weather come automatically from the account**, and you can use [YouTube direct](/stream-adapter/en/youtube.md).

## Connecting

You never enter a **password on the camera**. Signing in happens on your phone or computer.

1. Under **System → Account**, click **Connect to livespotting**.
2. Scan the **QR code** with your phone or open the link.
3. Sign in or create a free account.
4. Check that **the same code** as in the app is shown there, and confirm.

The app waits for your confirmation and then shows: *This camera is connected to your livespotting account.* If the code has expired, **Show new code** gets you a new one.

> **Caution:** Only confirm codes that **you yourself** have just requested in your app.

## What the account takes care of

* **Stream credentials:** With **Switch to account credentials** the camera sends with the credentials from your account. The stream reconnects once briefly while doing so.
* **Location and weather** from the portal, see [Location & info](/stream-adapter/en/standort.md) and [Weather in the picture](/stream-adapter/en/wetter.md).
* If your account belongs to several **organisations**, you choose the right one and click **Apply**.

For security, you confirm **creating the camera** in your account with your **second factor**: click **Request confirmation code** and enter under **Code** the code from the email or from your authenticator app. If you have no second factor yet, set it up in the livespotting portal.

## Disconnecting

**Disconnect** detaches the camera from the account. **The stream keeps running unchanged** – with the last credentials taken over, which are no longer updated automatically. **Reconnect** connects it again.

## Contact & account

Via the **profile icon at the top right → Contact & account** you see your account details, for example organisation and customer number. It also says how to delete your account: in the livespotting app under Account or by email to support with the subject “Delete account”.

The **› livespotting** button at the top right takes you straight to this camera in the livespotting app.
