# Location & info

*Found under: **Location & info**.*

Here you describe your camera: what it is called, what it shows and where it stands. The app uses these details in several places:

* as **title, description and tags** of the YouTube broadcast if you enter nothing of your own there,
* the **location** for [Day & night](/stream-adapter/en/stream.md#day-night), the automatic design of the [overlays](/stream-adapter/en/einblendungen.md#appearance), aligning the [viewing direction](/stream-adapter/en/einblendungen.md#viewing-direction) and the [weather](/stream-adapter/en/wetter.md).

## Location

You have three ways to enter the location:

* **Search place** – type a place name, **Search**, pick a result. Postcode, city, district, region and country fill in.
* **Paste coordinates or map link** – paste coordinates or a link from OpenStreetMap or Google Maps.
* **Use my location** – takes the location of your device. That only fits if you are standing at the camera right now.

**Show on map** opens the location on a map for checking.

> **Note:** If the camera is connected to the [livespotting account](/stream-adapter/en/konto.md), the app takes the location from the **portal**. The platform also calculates the weather from the account with the location in the portal – so enter it there if you use the weather via the account.
