# Overview

The overview is the start page of the app. This is where you start and stop the stream and see at a glance whether everything is running.

## Stream

At the top of the **Stream** card are the status tiles:

| Tile | Meaning |
| --------------- | ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| **Status** | Green: the stream is running. Yellow: it is connecting or stuttering. Red: error. Grey: off. |
| **Destination** | Where the camera is sending right now. |
| **Bitrate** | How much data the stream currently needs. |
| **Running for** | How long the stream has been running without interruption. |
| **Day & night** | Whether it is day or night at the location right now, see [Day & night](/stream-adapter/en/stream.md#day-night). |

Below that you choose the destination – **livespotting** or **YouTube** – and control the stream:

* **Start** sends the picture to the chosen destination.
* **Stop** ends the stream.
* For your own rules in the camera (System › Events) there is the event **livespotting Stream Adapter › Stream running**, which is on as long as the picture arrives at the destination – for example for an indicator light or a notification.
* **Switch** changes the destination while the stream is running. The camera only ever sends to **one** destination.

> **Tip:** Several destinations at once – YouTube, Facebook, Twitch and your website – work via livespotting: the camera uploads once, the platform distributes. That keeps the connection at the site relieved.

### Show overlays

With the switch **Show overlays** you see overlays and logo in the picture even while the stream is not running – for trying things out. They then appear in **all** streams of the camera, including recordings. That is why the preview switches itself off after **10 minutes** or when you leave the page.

## Branding

**Show livespotting branding** shows the livespotting logo in the picture. Your own logo instead of ours comes with a livespotting plan.

## Modules

The **Modules** list shows every building block of the app with its status – for example camera, account, YouTube, connection, picture quality, day & night, schedule and all overlays. Clicking a module takes you straight to its settings. Modules marked yellow or red need your attention; the row tells you what to do.

## Continue setup

If you interrupted the assistant, the **Setup** card with **Continue setup** is shown at the top. **×** hides it.
